Reserve a truck for the move. Don’t wait until the last minute especially if you’re moving at the end of the month, the most popular time for moves. You don’t want to be left without a vehicle when you have only one particular day to move.
When you’ve pared down your belongings to a manageable size, it’s time to begin packing boxes. Get the proper moving supplies and materials for packing your belongings into moving boxes. Have enough moving boxes, wardrobes, packing paper, labels, tapes and other moving supplies handy. You don’t want to come short when you have only one day to move.
Once you have assembled your packing materials and moving supplies, you can begin packing boxes. Leave essentials until last, but pack up everything that you won’t need before the move, like seasonal clothing or holiday trim.
